Meghan Cameron Master Pilates Instructor & Studio Owner Pilates Method Alliance Certified Teacher 2017 Fully Certified from Body Tonic, NYC 2005 3rd Generation (lineage from Joe Pilates) BA in Modern Dance, Point Park Conservatory 2001
I have been practicing Pilates since 1998, teaching Pilates since 2005. Throughout my teaching career I have had the pleasure of teaching at several studios in the northeast as well as Hawaii and have taught clients from age 5yrs. old to 93yrs. old. I enjoy teaching Pilates on the mat and apparatus to every type of individual: men, women, kids, athletes, pregnant, injured, weak, strong, and people of all ages and body types. I took my first Pilates class while at school for Modern Dance and was overwhelmed by the physical feedback I received and the way I was able to improve my dance technique and posture. Before doing Pilates I had back pain and spasms. I had overdeveloped back muscles, a weak core, tightness everywhere and pain. After doing Pilates for a semester, I was hooked. My back pain subsided, my body gained strength where it was weak and flexibility where it was tight. I knew right away that I wanted to teach Pilates and help others experience it’s numerous benefits! By focusing on building core strength and overall body awareness, I strive to inspire my clients to gain total body flexibility, leanness, strength, confidence and an improved mind body connection. I believe your form and proper alignment are the keys, along with practice and consistency to obtaining your long and short term personal goals. I am constantly learning, have never been bored teaching and have never taught the same class twice! Email MEGHAN
As a teenager Lidia was very athletic and active. She was a dancer and was an avid badminton player. Lidia was diagnosed with a herniated disk that affected her lower back, knee and hip to the extent that she could not walk without extreme pain and required surgery. During her rehabilitation and recovery which lasted for 4 years she educated herself on her condition and learned different ways of dealing with her pain and learned about overall body awareness. Lidia was introduced to Pilates. Her life changed dramatically. It gave her the freedom of movement and flexibility that she had not experienced in years. Lidia has had lessons from instructors in Moscow Russia, Germany, California and Florida. When She came to Rochester she decided to take her love of Pilates to the next level and become a certified instructor. “My dream is to help others who are in pain because i understand from my own experience. I understand the desperation of wanting to feel better. I know the desire to be able to get on with life and do the things that i could once do. This is very personal for me”. Lidia is currently completing her Comprehensive training and will be a fully certified instructor on all Apparatus in 2018!

Rhonda Pompeii Certified Yoga and Senior Pilates Instructor Pilates Method Alliance Certified Teacher 2017 Breathe Yoga 200 Power Vinyasa Yoga Training YogaFit Levels I-IV Certified IM=X Pilates Basic & Advanced Floor Work Pilates Level III Teacher and Practitioner
My teaching experiences began at the YMCA of Greater Rochester. I covered a lot of different fundamentals through Fitness Specialist, Cycling, and Rubber resistance instruction before I chose to become a personal trainer & fully pursue both Yoga and Pilates Teacher Certifications. Once I began focusing on mind body exercise, everything in my life began to change. My type A personality became obsolete. I learned to let go of stress as my body became stronger, leaner, and more flexible (something I still strive to find some days). My apprenticeship at a local Pilates Studio covered over 500 hours training and teaching within levels I-III. This training included Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and small equipment. Leslie MacDonald MSC., RAD_TC, Body Harmonics Comprehensive Pilates Instructor with Balanced Body
Leslie started her long life in dance and movement education in 1967 at the age of 5 at the National Ballet School in Toronto, then studied as a teenager at the Lois Smith School of Dance, and in the George Brown College dance program in Toronto. After extensive training as an adult under Patricia McLeod and Linda Godwin at the Royal City School of Ballet in Guelph, Ontario, she successfully undertook the Teaching Certification examination of the Royal Academy of Dance, passing with honors. More than 20 years of teaching students of every age followed. Her Pilates teacher training began soon after at Pilates in Guelph, with certification as a Mat Specialist completed at Body Harmonics in Toronto in 2007. Studies at Dance Theatre David Earle in Guelph sparked a strong interest in modern dance, and a deep respect for mature dancers in general, and for Martha Graham in particular. After moving to Rochester in 2009 she was privileged to have studied with and taught for Christine Fendley of the Park Avenue Dance company, and also for Elizabeth Clarke. She has also worked with students of trumpet at the Eastman School of Music and at brass player’s symposia, applying the principals of Pilates for improved breathing, posture and increased confidence while performing. As of the fall of 2016, retiring after a 30 year career in biological sciences research, Leslie is now focused full time on exploring teaching opportunities working with dancers, musicians and athletes and playing a lot more trumpet in local orchestras and small ensembles. After completing the required 800 hours of training, teaching, and testing, Leslie is now a Balanced Body Comprehensively Certified Pilates instructor. Leslie is delighted to be a part of the Hana Pilates and Bodyworks team, as both an instructor and life-long learner.
Hannah is a certified Pilates Mat instructor. She is passionate about introducing new students to the practice and believes that anyone can enjoy, and benefit from Pilates. A dancer all her life, she grew up teaching students how to be the very best version of themselves. That is what she loves about teaching Pilates, helping clients grow both on, and off the mat. Her classes are an energizing flow - rooted in the traditional Pilates method but infused with variations, modifications and unique flows to make sure that every single class in interesting, challenging, and most importantly, beneficial for her clients! She believes that the key to seeing results and improvement is form, and will take the time to make sure that each and every student understands the proper method for execution so that they are not only getting the best results, but doing it in a safe manner. She believes that Pilates helps with just about everything - your posture, your six pack, your back pain...name your goal and she will develop a practice to help you. "When people ask me about Pilates, I tell them two things. 1) Pilates will make you feel stronger than ever before. Not just physically, but mentally. You’ll start to feel your muscles get leaner and longer and you’ll also notice that after class, your mind will be at ease and you’ll feel accomplished. 2) Pilates is not just an exercise, it is a practice. And the more you do it, the better you get. And the better you get, the further it pushes you. Some days you’ll hit the ground (or mat) running and rock it through every move…and other days you’ll find yourself having to really push through the class. That’s ok. That’s what Pilates is all about – the balance of life, the ups-and-downs and working your mind and body to the best you can be at that very moment."
