FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Do I need any special equipment, like mats or balls?
A: No. You just need space and a mat or towel to join a mat class virtually.
Q: Is once a week really going to help me?
A: With once a week practice, your body will show changes more slowly, but it will change. The more time you devote to practice at home, at the studio or a combination of the two, the faster you will develop core strength and improved body alignment.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Wear clothing that is stretchy and allows your body to move freely without being baggy. Exercise clothing should be somewhat snug so we can see how your body moves and help you with form and alignment. Baggy clothing makes it harder for us to help you. If wearing shorts, please wear compression type shorts underneath, so no one gets flashed. You can wear socks or go barefoot during your session/class.
Q: What is the cancellation policy for Pilates Private, Semi-Privates and Group Apparatus?
A: We require 24 hours notice to cancel a Private session and classes so that we may fill your spot with someone else. We regret that we must charge for missed sessions without adequate notice. If you miss a Semi-Private, your group mates will be charged based on the number attending.
Q: How is your equipment cleaned?
A: Tea tree oil and water. We use tea tree oil because of its antiseptic, antibacterial, antibiotic and antiviral properties. It's also kind on the skin. Each client is responsible for wiping down their mat/equipment at the end of class.
Q: Are there any forms to sign?
A: Yes, each client must sign a Liability Release form prior to attending their first group class. You can fill out our online waiver before you come for class or a traditional paper waiver at the studio. For private sessions, each client will also complete a Health Evaluation form to ensure that we are aware of any pre-existing conditions or injuries you may have. Please arrive a few minutes early for your first visit to sign any needed forms or arrange payment.
